The meteor shower was very nice. I’m still learning the camera, and playing with a new star tracker – The Move Shoot Move. The learning curve isn’t too high, but didn’t have a chance to play with it before heading out of town for the week to catch the shower from the mountains at a Bortle 1-2’ish location. It was fun having the Milky Way be BRIGHT.

Below are a few more shots from the week. Not as spectacular because some really thick smoke rolled in and killed the viewing.
Another interesting thing from the week – I brought my CampingPi up to the mountains with me – it gave some great views, and even captured a few Perseid meteors as well. I compared a few of them to what was caught down in Boise, 53.7 miles (as the crow flies) away. The parallax between the two images is kinda fun to see.

Unfortunately I missed the unexpected surprise second bigger peak of the shower that happened on the 14th due to the smoke down in the Boise valley 😣.
